Maggie Ek couldn’t be more excited to finally be putting up An Evening Alone with Natalie Wood. All her life, Maggie has been told that she resembles Natalie, so in 2023, she picked up her biography by Suzanne Finstad and fell in love with this incredible woman.

Maggie has had the honor of performing in theaters across the U.S. Favorite credits include: Inga (Young Frankenstein), Katherine (Newsies), Francine (Jersey Boys), and Laura Wingield (The Glass Menagerie). To Maggie, there is nothing greater than creating art and telling stories with the people that she loves and admires.

She would love to give a special thank you to Skylar Gaines, her writing partner and co-producer, for believing in her and this story. Additional thanks to Mckenna Camille, Johnny DiGiorgio, Sarah Gloss, and all her friends and family for their endless support.

Johnny DiGiorgio

Everyone Else

Johnny DiGiorgio is thrilled to be working with Maggie and Skylar on this gorgeous play. He was fortunate enough to meet this dream team while working on three productions of Jersey Boys over the past year at the La Mirada Theatre, CCAE in Escondido, and MTW. USC BA acting ’23, favorite roles include Lockstock in Urinetown, Dorn in Chekhov’s Seagull, along with numerous opera roles.

When not playing dress-up you can probably find him fight directing, playing the accordion, or spending way too long making some kind of intricate handmade pasta. Endless thanks to Maggie & Skylar for this gift of a play and the opportunity to be in shape-shifting heaven!

Skylar Gaines

Director/Producer

Skylar Gaines is ecstatic to finally be spending an evening alone with Natalie Wood.

While initially on board as story writer and producer (and Everyone Else in an initial reading), Skylar is over the moon to be bringing their Los Angeles directing debut to the stage with this incredible piece.

Skylar is perhaps best known for their acting roles across southern California in Jersey Boys (Bob Crewe & Others) and Falsettos (Mendel). While they love throwing their all into every production, Skylar’s heart truly goes out to original work.

Currently Skylar is producing and starring in the upcoming original musical The Great Age of Sail, currently workshopping and poised to set sail in early 2026.

They’d also like to extend their deepest gratitude to Maggie Ek for their talent, grace, and good old fashioned gumption. Skylar is incredibly proud of this production and is looking forward to a long road of creativity with their new partner in crime!

Mckenna Camille

Producer

Now is the timefor all good men to come to the aid of the party.
